SVC's 8th Annual Letterpress Wayzgoose Invite July 2009
Seattle's School of Visual Concepts celebrates the end of summer each year by opening up the doors of their letterpress classroom to the public. This year I'll get to drive the steamroller and print giant letterpress posters designed by local agencies.
The energy and excitement for the event wasn't hard to capture in the design; I've been told that my experience with designing for roller derby really shines through in this one.
In addition to designing the postcard, I also took on the letterpress printing of it. 3000 cards, printed 2/1, is the largest run I've printed so far — and after 4 solid days of printing I was glad to relax in a hammock while they dried.
