Each year Dave Pippin rallies his 5th-grade students at Seattle Country Day School to create an anthology of short fiction, which is then published at the end of the school year. For the 2002 edition, they recruited me to design and letterpress print the book's cover.
An exhuberant brainstorming session with the students inspired the cover's art and text, which I designed on a Mac using Quark XPress & Illustrator. It was then output to magnesium plates and letterpress printed in an edition of 180 on a Vandercook 4 press.
